The Thorntree River Lodge is ideally located to take in the surrounding cascading splendor of the Victoria Falls, and it can be reached via the international airports of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, or Livingstone, Zambia. The lodge is only 20 minutes upstream from Victoria Falls. All ages of children are welcome, and our renowned kids’ club, the Ngwana Club, will provide endless hours of entertainment for your children.

Thorntree River Lodge in Livingstone, Zambia, provides a serene starting point from which to experience a wide range of breathtaking activities. The communal spaces are fluid hubs of relaxation; the lounge effortlessly transitions into the dining area, and the library has WiFi connectivity. It offers amazing river panoramas from its unique vantage point. A sunken boma area and an infinity pool are located on the community deck, which is perched on the edge of the beautiful riverfront. Thorntree River Lodge also offers a spa and gym that enables a complete sense of well-being.

Daily excursions to the Zambian (and Zimbabwean, during the dry season) sides of the Victoria Falls, private river cruises, cultural outings, fishing expeditions, canoeing, rhino tracking, and game drives are all available from our lodge in Livingstone, Zambia. All of these activities are included in the cost of your stay. Additionally, we can arrange for you to participate in other activities such as guided rainforest tours, bungee jumping, helicopter flips over “The Smoke that Thunders” and the world famous white water rafting – all of which we can arrange before your departure from your home country.
