Two flights down from the restaurant, the open-plan Buffalo Bar complements the MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant, offering a memorable venue for all-day refreshments and tasty snacks, sundowners, and pre-and post-dinner drinks. It has its own game-viewing platform overlooking the estate’s on-site waterhole, where there is an opportunity to view game all year round.

Experiences

Reservations and seating capacity

Open for unforgettable breakfasts, lunches and dinners 365 days of the year. Reservations are strongly recommended for dinner as the MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant is regularly fully booked. Guests are encouraged to include their MaKuwa-Kuwa reservations in their Victoria Falls itineraries and secure bookings prior to arrival. The restaurant hosts up to 125 diners. Exclusive use of the MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant can be arranged provided that 70% and above of the guests are resident on the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge estate. Open for breakfast from 06:30 to 10:00, lunch from 12:30 to 14:00 and dinner from 19:00 to 22:00.

Entertainment

We recommend that diners are seated by 19:00 to enjoy the music of our resident acapella performers whose harmonious traditional melodies make a fine accompaniment to an evening of superb food, great wine and a stunning view of the African night sky. Although not entirely by our own design, the calls of nocturnal wildlife and the occasional hyena, elephant or buffalo visiting the waterhole top off a truly incredible dining experience in a one-of-a- kind venue!

Guests having lunch at MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant are perfectly positioned to view the Vulture Culture Experience which takes place daily at 13:00 below the Buffalo Bar viewing deck.
